Andrika King is a Los Angeles-based interior designer specializing in family friendly stylish yet functional spaces.   As a mother of three children she creates spaces in which children can play and parents can enjoy and entertain with friends and family. Projects range from modern and traditional beach houses in Manhattan Beach, to ski homes in Utah and mid-century inspired homes in Palm Springs.

Andrika was raised in Fort Worth, Texas and attended The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she received a BA in Business Administration. Her technical Interior Design education is from the UCLA Interior Design program where she met her associate Jen Hart. Although she has lived in Southern California for over fifteen years and has embraced minimalist California coastal design, she still holds true to her southern roots and is known for layering color, patterns, and textures in her designs.  She takes pride in finding pieces which can withstand the wear and tear of an active family lifestyle yet still look finished and casually tailored.

Andrika previously owned and operated a 2700 sq ft children's store in Manhattan Beach called Sprout for five years before the birth of her son. Her experience owning and managing the store opened up personal relationships with clients in the area and taught her the importance of customer service and project management. (Her store Sprout was voted as one of the top five Children's stores in 2006 by Los Angeles Magazine.) After a few years Andrika started her design business Andrika King Design and her highly acclaimed children's design blog Nursery Notations. Being a mother herself of three children has aided Andrika to create spaces which both children and parents can enjoy and grow with.
